The devs don't allow the game by default to use enough RAM to run properly. Your card just needs enough RAM to handle the game when it's loading all those textures. It all falls on your graphics card to be able to handle it. I have a GTX 970 and a i5 8600k with 16GB of RAM. I have GTX680 and 8 GB of RAM i7 processor, will this work for me or I shouldn't try (harmful)? I found one on here that worked, but I cannot find the thread anymore.
